Sunset Gold

what does the poem Peace by Sara Teasdale mean?
Peace flows into me
As the tide to the pool by the shore;
It is mine forevermore,
It ebbs not back like the sea.
I am the pool of blue
That worships the vivid sky;
My hopes were heaven-high,
They are all fulfilled in you.
I am the pool of gold
When sunset burns and dies—
You are my deepening skies,
Give me your stars to hold.
A poem can have different meanings to different people.
Here I find a description of internal peace brought about by an outside source. The last two lines of the second stanza make me think it is a recently discovered source. Could be a new relationship with God, a lover, a childbirth, a good friend... The possibilities are endless. The last stanza sounds like fairly traditional romance: I receive, you give. They sound traditional, but the ambiguity of "you" invites the non-romantic (like me) to consider more than just Tarzan and Jane style scenarios.
Very pretty. Thank you.
