Possession and sale of less than 42.5 grams (1.5 ounces) of marijuana is a misdemeanor punishable by a $200 fine and possible drug education; stricter punishments exist for possession of more than 1.4 grams (0.15 ounces) in a motor vehicle, driving under the influence, or sale to a minor.

It used to be punishable by jail time, but they changed it. Does anyone know what year they changed it? Please provide your sources. Thanks.
