Does anyone know the value od a page of 25 postage stamps that were printed for the 1993 Chinese New Year?
The stamps are a red background with a green rooster. These 29 cents stamps have White Chinese writing that reads, "Year of the Rooster." These stamps were printed by the US Postal Service in 1992.
In the left hand margin that borders the stamps reads as follows:
Many countries celebrate the new year on the first of the year.
Ancient cultures often celebrated the lunar calendar.
The lunar calendar in 1993 is symbolized by the rooster.
The rooster is the 10th animal in a 12 animal cycle.
The serial nuimber in all four corners is A2 2222
The right hand border reads, "Use Correct Zip Code
they are worth $7.25 if anyone would buy them.
The option is to either hang onto them for at least 10-20 more years so there is some value to them. 1992 was only 15 years ago. Stamps don't gain value that fast.
The other option is to use them to mail some letters with additional postage.
