A 1990 gold Chinese 5 Yuan "Panda" contains 1.55 grams (1/20 troy ounce) of gold which is currently worth about $60US. Typically gold coins will sell to a coin dealer for slightly less (3% to 5%) than gold value, but there appears to be an extra premium on the Panda. You might be able to get a bit more, but I can not be sure about that. I am not sure about the value of the ring. I hope that helps.
